About Joseph Walker
I have always had a love for music. When I was four years old I wanted to learn to play the piano. My sister and brother had been taking piano for several years. But, their piano teacher said I was too young to begin lessons. So my sister, who is 7 years older than me, started to teach me from their primer piano book. I went through the Faber and Faber Primer books, learning all I could. Then, when I turned 6 years old I was able to begin taking lessons from a real music teacher. She was impressed by the progress I had made by working with my sister.
I have been playing the piano for 12 years and I have loved every minute of it. I realized at an early age that I had a love for music and wanted to share it with everyone. I feel like God gave me this gift and I want to use it to the best of my ability. This semester I am teaching piano and ukulele classes at Forever Family Co-op.
After high school, I will continue to teach music and pursue a degree in Music Education.
